Stainless Steel Frets

Does anyone out there know what the actual fret dimensions are for the stainless steel frets? Is it Dunlop fretwire?

the wire is made for us in germany. here's the sizes
heavy .110w x .053" tall
med .090w x .055" tall
small .084 w x .043 tall

would the medium be pretty similar to 6105?

Duncan 6105 is .096" X .047"

Heavy is close to a 6100 (112" X .055") For my approach I've always preferred the biggest available frets - I'm glad to see that the Heavy stainless are so substantial.

Unusual for the medium to be taller than the heavy though.

Very similar to 6105's and by far the most comfortable wire I've ever played on!

I'm not crazy about the Heavy Frets - I think it's more the pyramid shape than the actual fret height.

when I first got my grosh, I freaked out about how the 6105 frets felt, but then I got used to them and now I think other frets feel weird. maybe the medium frets are the best way to go, (I was considering heavies)

Does this mean that the heavy frets have a triangular profile? 6100 has a very rounded profile, which I prefer

the heavies do have a rriangular shape. not as radical as the old patillo frets. when all is said and done, the heavies and mediums have about the same size on the top of the fret.

whats the measurements for 6150 - whats the closest anderson guage to that?

further fret question -

the fret height makes it more difficult to push down the string as it gets higher - what effect does the width have?

i like gibbo frets and they seem to be very wide but not very tall

i love anderson mediums to - they make playing easier than the heavys

anyone enlighten me?

It's interesting - I have the opposite feeling - for me, the larger the fret, the easier it is to fret a note.

Because I slide around alot - I really am put off by an overly triangular fret - it feels too rough. They're probably better for intonation though.
