I was over at Charley's yesterday and Brian and I were kicking around some ideas for an interesting Anderson variation.

I love the classic looks of the T, especially this one (http://www.andersonguitars.com/cfPages/showSingleGuitarGallery.cfm?passedID=15&finishID=112&bodyWoodID=3)

But, I am a humbucker guy and a fan of the Floyd Rose. So how do you update a classic without dramatically changing the looks/vibe? Do you do an M3 in the bridge at an angle or just throw an H2+ up there? Then maybe an M1 in the neck? Could you get it with a chrome cover (as Slowburn has inquired)?

Some may think it's heresy to put a Floyd on a Classic T, but I think it would be interesting. 1952 meets 2004 (or at least 1984).

Any thoughts? Roadblocks?

i don't see why not. roy was talking to brian yesterday about such a guitar. we have done the angled mini in the bridge position, and it looses some of the biggness of the straight one. no plans for the cover for all the same reasons we don't cover the full size humbuckers.

I'm very excited about the guitar Roy and I conceived yesterday (thanks do to Jay’s seed planting). But my thoughts have shifted to a guitar that is due on Friday; one I had forgot that I had ordered. It’s a Ruby Red Slippers T Classic with 3 M’s.
Sorry Jay, I should have ordered that one with a Floyd. It might have solved the mystery of the Classic T with a Floyd.

ah the ruby slippers one.... yes that was very nice, a little bit country but a lot more rock and roll... sorry.

That's okay, somebody had to do it.
