1. Every Crowdster I've played is great. And some are even better than that.....no exaggeration. I ordered a Koa And took delivery of it a little bit ago......If you want to challenge & define what is going to destroy your pre-conceived notions of an acoustic electric guitar is....this standard will. I'll never forget dropping in the previous Lavery Court location when David Crowder came in to check out the Anderson Proto type that bared his name and likeness. Tall, thin, and wired out hair, smile as big as the sun. Left an impression on me. I thought "Some day I'll own one of these guitars when I can afford it" So, I do now and it's worth every dollar. Pure musical genius. Live , behind a monitor, mic direction.....whatever. All those issues are now...non issues. And it plays effortlessly. How does one spell 3 D? Like any Anderson, it's in a league of its own

2. I've owned many L.P.'s...and never bonded with the "feel" of them..or any of them & I don't know why....lord knows Ive tried. I had tuning issues, weight relief, too heavy, contour, and comfort I actually sold them all off one by one. I enjoyed the process and eventually had to lay it to rest. Still think they look cool though and sound amazing when "some" people play them...just not me.
One day I was "male window shopping" online (that's really what we do) looking at Anderson's of course and up came a N.O.S. Bulldog. "Should I pop for it"?....specs are right, looks amazing....price more than right, ...yep, I grabbed it, and never looked back. Solidifying my faith and belief, again, that buying an Anderson without even playing it first.....is a faith based purchase they've proven to me, can be a rewarding experience. And it was.
This guitar is a strikingly beautiful tobacco burst, curly maple & mahogany body with binding. Again, after playing it for some time, my muscle memory was completely confused based off all the previous guitars it resembled. But this Anderson Bulldog took on a life of its own as It solved every issue previously mentioned and again, destroyed and redefined my definition of a single cutaway, double humbucker guitar. Once I set the action to my preference....this guitar was the answer. It's such a rockin beast to play. The neck is fast, accessible, and the fret work is Classic Anderson. Its SO comfortable! Tuning isn't even an issue....at all. I'm just immensely stoked how cool this guitar is. Again, my search is over. I have "that" sound. I have that feel....my amp never sound so good....

3. Did I stop?
...A Raven is born and on the way. I went different on this one. 100% mahogany with PQ's.....all in natural with a tortoise shell pickgaurd. Big 60's round back +.20 rosewood FB neck. It'll be here next week. Oohhh the anticipation and waiting. Listening for the UPS driver like he's the ice cream man or something. Then the large box being carried to your door with the huge "A" on it. Opening, seeing for the first time that new guitar smell. Know what I'm talking about? The woodsy smell. The brilliance and luster in the finish. There is NO moment like opening your Anderson for the first time when it arrives after waiting months. The case has what I call, a new car smell. That too is unique. What compares to that moment? It's nuts. But it's a very cool moment in a players life. I open mine outside, cuz I want the sun to reflect every nuance the light can and does deliver.
So, since Im having such great success with Toms guitars, why change? I know there's lots of choices out there, and that's part of the fun....right? But dang it, Anderson guitars create a weakness in me. Just when I swear I'm going to put some of those tax returns away....I deposit them into my imaginary Anderson acct instead....how I easily justify the next purchase based on quality....aesthetics, and performance.....I'm "justifiably" helpless.
So what's next?....how many times have I swore, "I'm done"! Then another Anderson guitar is born, and the cycle continues. Yes I'm out of control. But like any addict will testify; "it's not my fault"! I justify, quantify, and Lay blame it all on the quality, and sheer addictive nature that Anderson guitars possess. So in conclusion I'll add.....there's worse things I could be into. Some guy will ask me all the time; What guitar is that? So, with guilt and excitement I share these truths to another. Another unsuspecting victim in tone......."this is an Anderson" Poor guy. He has nooooo idea
