I played a gig last Saturday night. The first set we did mostly jazz standards. By the end of the night we were playing BTO and Skynrd. As I thought about what guitars to take it didn't take me long to figure out that my Classic with the bucker in*the bridge would cover it all. Neck pup with tone rolled off for swing or bossa to in between strat tones for Mustang Sally to full humbucker for harder stuff. Versatility and I always think easiest to play with ss frets and the impeccable workmanship of the build. Covers all the bases. Hats off to TA guitars.

I Agree.
Not only about TAG guitars making the playing experince such a pleasure, but also about a Classic S type guitar with a SSH pick-up configuration being a nice "I'm only taking one guitar to this gig" instrument.

I agree with the HSS versatility. I will say that my HH Bulldog with the ability to split when pulling the tone knobs gives me the same kind of versatility. It is just built directly into the guitars. Love them!!

I've been a HSS guy for a lot of years now with my HDT, but now have heard demo's of a few HSH configurations that seemed amazingly good at neck single coil tone, as well as having that neck PAF tone I like to have from time to time.

Good point. I've done many a gig with my Atom Special which has an MC1 in the neck and HC2 in the bridge.

I can get any sound out of my Hollow Atom CT that I could possibly need...
but, to be fair, lots of guitars are versatile. And a lot are well-made. I just happen to find that the combination of ergonomics, sound, playability and reliability of my Andersons is why I play and choose them.
I recently read about a guy who had finally found the "perfect" delay pedal... and kept buying more... just in case.
Guitarsists are like that. I'm not, as much. My main guitar is still my almost 8-year-old Crowdster, and my main electrics didn't change for years until I got my Atom... and that's likely to last me as long as I want it to.

You're so right, each guitar has so many sounds, and they're all awesome sounds too! :)

Plus, they are plain ol' fun to play!
