since we're inching closer to the end of summer, I was wondering whether Tom could drop more information as to upcoming model, whether that be specs or just tentative announcement date.

he was pretty tight lipped while i was there... I think he said by the end of the year.
also the headstock mounted truss rod adjustment will be available in the next 3 months or so... dont hold them to that, but it's coming.

That last detail is the floyd with a d-tuna on it. Oops, it was a secret.:D

i can't tell you anything can i?
Will the general details be made available next week after the Crowder show?
I'm about to pull the trigger on my first TA - and as I don't have the money for expensive guitars very often (my next is likely several years away), I'd hate to order only to find that the new model is closer to my tastes.
details won't be available till september at best. the guitar i'm playing now does not have the new neck joint, so there won't be any photo's till it's done.

What are your tastes? I'm sure there are quite a few here that can lead you in a direction.
yes, what are you after? i will at least tell you if you should wait or not.

Right now, it;s a Drop Top in an H/H configuration with series/parallel switching. Vintage trem (though a true stop tail would be cool).
I'm really not after anything in particular, model-change-wise, as I think that to a degree I'd be trying to make a TA into something else, and all butt-kissing aside, I think your guitars stand on their own merits - they don't need to be anything else.
What would I concievably be interested in? A true stop-tail, mahogany neck on a 25.5 scale.... those are just possibilities. I think that you've taken guitars so far that I'm just inherently wondering what you've come up with, as what you've done so far is so good that I'd hate to miss the 'next big TA thing'.
Sound-wise, I'm after a "desert island guitar" (assuming the island has electricity, of course). Something that will fill the middle ground between my beloved Clapton Strat and my PRS Rosewood-necked McCarty. A super-Strat with buckers, basically.
I'm not trying to wheedle info out of you - I respect the confidentiality, but I'm also very interested in any suggestions you might have. Jack Gretz and Roy have spoken/are talking about my wishes already, and Jack is great to work with. It's just that the options are already so varied, it's hard to suss out what will work best.
Thanks so much for taking interest.
