would this finish look good on natural maple (not flamed or quilted, but vertical grains, like ash).
it's the figure that makes it happen. no figure, no gradation of color.

would the request of a plain maple top consitute as a personalized selection top? would there be a discount if the maple is not flamed or figured?
plain tops are $100 less. you can't have a stained finish on them.

what about transparent finishes. is there a difference between transparent and translucent?
transparent implies very see through color. translucent is usually used when there is a pigment added which clouds the ability for light to pass through. our blonde and white are the only really translucent colors we do. all the others are done with a transparent stain either on the wood or in the clear.
