I was going through some of my old CDs recently and forgot about how much I used to like Testament. I remember buying the Testament - The New Order cassette back in late 1988. What a great album! I have liked about every version of this band and thought I would give one of their tunes a try.

Disclaimer to all metal players: sorry for the crap playing. I hardly ever play metal anymore and my stamina for this kind of music is just not there (more of a rock player). I know I am missing some of the actual pieces to certain parts of the tune (played it safe on the the last part of the intro lick). I also 100% just winged a solo. I just didn't have time to learn Alex's lead and quite frankly was just playing tribute to a great song.

I used Lasse Lammert's "Mean Bastard" profile which is described as the following:

Maxon OD808 > Marshall JCM800 2204with Soldano Hot Mod
> Mesa Stiletto 4x12 cabinet with V30s > SM57
This is a raw in-your-face tone with a throat cutting attitude and a lot of bite.

I am no Mark Day or Fluff (Ryan) but I tried to make a quality vid for you all. It was fun to play and the backing track sounded great. I believe it was taken from their Live in London set and all of the guitars were removed.
