Have the saddles been updated yet?

I believe I read Tom say that the saddles were going to be changed and would no longer be graph tech. Did that happen? What is on their now?

we have been using a different saddle from graphtech for the past few months. the string saver material is harder than what was in the older style saddle and the string also rests on metal behind the insert. saddle material is steel instead of stainless steel.
i feel like the plain strings have a bit more brilliance to them and the final take off point on the front edge is better defined.

Any idea of the Graphtech part number ?

Am home sick today, will have to look it up back at the shop. It's the narrow spacing chrome, gold or black one. They are all the same and different from the stainless one we used to use.

I got some saddles that fit the description above for Christmas and installed them on my DTC. I haven't played it plugged in yet, just installed them late yesterday, but acoustically they seemed to make the guitar louder and more defined. I'm guessing that will carry through to the electric sound as well but don't have a gig until NYE to test with.

The chrome ones I think it also makes the bridge look more consistent with the saddles matching the plate.

I'll try to remember to report back after my gig NYE but I'm sure if Tom has decided to start using these, it will sound better.

yes. we have been using them for several months. they do seem to be clearer and more defined.

I still have them on my all mahogany guitar that played today and enjoy them The rsRavensiI have been playing have the regular graph tech saddles. I think they add some definition if you need some, but I love the way the Ravens are sounding with the graph techs.
