I was playing for a Youth Group service last evening. I was really zoned in to rocking on the Classic T... and it was awesome through practice. (Just for fun, I dialed up a metal amp tone, and Engl Fireball I think, on my HD 500 with the new TM2 in the bridge position. This tele can officially even do metal...)

middle of the first song, busted the D string. First string I've broken in years and years. I was bummed, because I wanted to play the tele for the whole set... and also because it was a brand new set of strings. I tried D'Addarios on this guitar because I'm not corroding strings like I used to (gettin' older, I guess) and maybe they just aren't making them durable these days, I dunno...

But... in any case... here's what I learned when I pulled out the Atom to finish the set.

It doesn't matter what guitar you play. If it's a great guitar, you can play any song on it... period...

Just thought I'd share.

Bummer about the string. i've been using D'addario for years and haven't broken a string in so long i can't remember the last time i did.

You're right about the guitar, as long as it's quality and set up well a good player can play anything on it.
