You mean the Cobra guitar wasn't named after the Shelby Cobra? I was hoping we were buying enough guitars that you might have one in the garage.;)

I dunno, Dave. My hunch is that you're on to something with the Cobra name lineage. That statement about "that ford, sort of" makes methinks that Tom might have AC on the mind? ;)

I bet he'd have a great time at the Monterey Historics (or NW Historics, or Lime Rock, etc., etc.) with all that cool machinery around.

Say, if he made a Cobra S with M pickups, would it be like a Mini Cooper S -- I mean Mini Cobra S? :p ;)

I bet the reason Tom hasn't replied is that he's out cruisin' in his '65 427 AC. :D

If that's the case,with all the TAGs we're buying,he owes us a ride. ;)

yes i have longed for the forked tongue beast. but alas it has eluded me. and yes the cobra does owe it's name to that car. i have been driving a '57 belair wagon for the past 10 years or so. it's a cruiser not a muscle rod. it has all the modern amenities, power discs, ac, killer sound system, it's lowered, surf green and white. thinking about selling it. and finally yes a mini may be in the future of my family, for my wife. (hope she'll let me drive it).

I agree. The AC Cobra is the classiest car alive.

I have a body shop and one of my customers has a red w/black stripes Cobra and had Roush do up a 427 for him. The thing sounds like a thousand demons screaming inside my shop. He had it up in Detroit at some high tech dyno place and it made incredible horse-power. Me, I have to settle for my 94 5.0 GT convertible. Fast enough for me, I am too easily tempted by endless power!:D

Don't they make kits that put the body of a Cobra onto a Mustang chassis?
