Last week I did a gig at the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX. Every 3 years, the Lutheran Church holds what they call the National Youth Gathering and this year I was asked to be in the band. It was a week-long gig and there were more than 25k people in the house and 13k streaming online. It was huge! BY FAR, the biggest gig I'll ever do in my lifetime. There was one tune, on the last day, where they had a HUNDRED pyro cues in one song. It was surreal.

So I played 3 Andersons all week: The Bulldog Mutt, the Raven, and my Classic. Of course, the photographer sent me his pics from the first day and no others. I'm still waiting for the beauty shots of the Raven.

Anyway, here are a few pics for y'all.

Great photos Corey. Must have been awesome. Thanks for sharing!

OK, now for an important question:
Did you get any good BBQ? Oh I miss San Antonio for BBQ and Tex Mex! Lived there for about five years and I miss it often...

Wow impressive gig guitarzan ! I have a question about your classic if you don't mind. I was thinking of ordering this color scheme for my next guitar, natural with a tortoise pickguard and maple neck. The guitar looks very uniform or even, the tint of the maple neck seems to match the body wood very well. Is the maple neck tinted ? and what body wood do you have ? Thanks.

Sorry for the late reply!

Danno, no BBQ this time, but plenty of Mexican food. SO good.

John, the Classic is solid alder and nothing was tinted. However, the guitar is 20yrs old so it has aged nicely. I think I remember Tom saying that the tinted necks tend to look abnormally yellow once they do start to age on their own.

Maybe the Supreme Commander will chime in.
