all else being equal how would this wood combination sound compared to say an all mahogany hollow t. (25 1/2" scale, and either an all rosewood neck or maple/rosewood)
seems strange to put a really plain top on a mahogany back. the alser is softer than the mahogany, so that again goes against normal logic. not sure why you would want to do that.

i'm not a logically normal fellow. and I don't mind plain looking tops. so I take it that wouldn't sound good? would the softer top really be an issue?
