How close are the fires to the shop?

we can see flames and lots of smoke from the shop. it's across the freeway from us. roy's house is the closest, and we were hearing evac notices for his house but it seems to have passed. the wind is pushing it towards the beach and that will stop it.

Rachel posted on her FB page the fires are miles from the shop but, getting close to Roy's home. Time to start praying the winds force the fires away from Roy's home....

Do I see a commemorative guitar coming out of this? New color.."California Wildfire"? It "wood" be cool to use a piece of a charred tree?

Thoughts and prayers for those in the area. Having been evacuated for the Waldo Canyon / Colorado Springs fire I know how stressful this can be. Nearly 350 homes were destroyed within a mile or so from my place. Some were closer. Barely had enough time to grab some clothes, papers, a hard drive and my 3 Andys. Everything else was left behind.

it is astounding how fast it can move. we had extra bad crazy dry wind so it was
scary.

the ocean wind has now pushed the fire back at us. roys house seems to be in the most danger. we can see flames again and all the guitars are going to have a smokey flavor to them this week.
