Hi guys,
I guess I need your expert help here.
I wanted to upgrade my Road Worn Player Strat with an SD1 in bridge position. The Fender Texas Special Customs are actually great on that kind of guitar, but higher gain settings without hum cancelling: uhmmm.
So I snapped up a SD1 from the bay for a decent price, but when unpacking -at least it came in a SD1 box- it just didn't look like the SD1s I know. Please have a look at the pics. The shape and dimensions of coils and magnets are Anderson-like, but it comes with only 3 wires (black, yellow and some kind of very dark blue/violet). The other SD1 I have here has 4 wires and a different staggered coil layout (talking of the side view). Would be great if anyone could tell me
- whether this is a TAG PU at all
- which one it is (might be an older version of an SD1? Or SK1?)
- and most important how to connect it / decyphering the color code.
Thanks in advance!
Cheers
Tom

P.S.: the guitar is used as a backup guitar in the Pink Floyd tribute band I'm helping out once in a while. OF COURSE I'm playing my Andersons in my main Joe Cocker tribute band

That looks like an st1. That is a tapped single coil. No hum cancelling.
