I was playing at our church on Sunday and had my new hollow T and a Taylor 810. We had just finished the first part of the service when the bass player tripped and knocked the tele off of its stand as he was walking off
Though I wanted to rush up there to inspect the damage, the service was in progress and I had to wait. The funny thing is that the sermon was on managing anger :) The last two songs of the service were on the 810, so I didn't get a chance to view the damage until after the service. I looked it over from head to tail and couldn't find any mark, scratch or gouge anywhere. The only thing wrong with it was that the A string was now tuned to an almost perfect Ab. That's the first time I've ever seen a guitar hit the ground without any damage. I think that next week I will be playing on the other side (away from the bass player)

Lucky for you! And I'd stay away from the bassist too!

I had the same thing happen with a LP R0. Fell right off the stand onto a hard wood floor and bounced! Cracked a tone knob, but that's it. Not a scratch and a clean bill of health from the tech. Nicknamed it Houdini after that.

it is funny, well not really, that sometimes nothing happens and sometimes when it hits just right that the result can be devastating.

I know about that. My Chet CE was a victim of my lovely wife. She tripped caught herself on the treadmill. The treadmill (was stowed upward) fell on the CE. From the looks of it, it fell on it about 5 times. Every surface except the top was trashed. I sent it off for a fix and it came back better than original Gibson finish. Happy ending.

2 weeks after I had just purchased my T classic, we were playing a song that was rocking pretty strong, and our bass player had knocked my guitar off the stand. Fortunately, nothing was damaged, just knocked out of tune. Moral of that story was to make sure that my guitars are no where near our bass player.
