Cool!!!! Brought big smile to my face.
Weren't those guys on a talent show a few years back? America's Best Band or something like that? The name SixWire is very familiar for some reason.
yes they were. i believe steve has been doing a lot of house band stuff for the idol or idol like shows too.

Love it!
And right at the end, after the fade out, someone says: "can you guys turn it down a little" :D

That band is so good. I can never comprehend why they can't break through.

Yeah they made it to the final of The Next Great American Band, an Idol spin-off. IMHO they were the best and far better than the band that won.
i think it's almost better to not win those shows. the winner has lots of obligations and the 2nd place has a shot at a normal deal, whatever that is these days. and yes, they were easily the most talented band on that show.

The guys that won I think are still around but have changed their name. I think they changed their name to Sons of Sylvia.
I remember SixWire got a lot of grief when they did a Rod Stewart song that had a little bass solo in it (Maggie May?). Stupid judges.

Hey, that WAS really fun. Thanks, Tom. I like seeing somebody making the most of M pickups. (I'm working on a new T build and can't decide between two tapped single coil and M. I've had two TA's with Ms and want to get another someday.)
That's probably an sd2+.
is that an older generation pickup? didn't see any SD in the pickup page. Which will sound closer to SD if we were to compare SC, SF and SA?

The SAs sound really close to the SDs with just a tiny little bit more authority in the mids. The SD is a little more scooped, but the difference is extremely minor.
There is a much bigger difference between the SA/SD and the newer SF/SCs by comparison.

Well that made my day. My wife complains that I never play a song all the way through when I'm noodling on the couch.
What til she sees this video. She will realize there are bands out there that don't play complete songs.

Hahaha exactly picnic! That's why I said it reminded me of our ADD practices. One person will play something that reminds someone else of a song and so we all jump in, but never playing it in it's entirety! Of course we're not quite at six wire's level but we can dream
