I've decided that I'm in love with my snow thrower... Yes... in LOVE...

We don't have any now but actually got a couple inches here in Dallas on Christmas Day. Not my first white Christmas here, but they're pretty rare. Nice thing is that it's all gone in a day or two. No snowblower required.

I just got sun burnt while relaxing on the beach after catching a few waves. The foam of the waves breaking on the sand looks a little like snow. Does that count?

I didn't think so. :D

It counts to remind us that there is a BIG world out there.

Midsummer for you guys, isn't it! When do the kids go back to school?

Just having a bit of fun. :) We still have shopping centre Santas wearing full winter get-up sitting on sleighs with a few air-conditioners/fans pointed back at them. And we still get to hear all the popular secular winter Christmas carols like White Christmas, Rudolph, Frosty, etc. ;)

Our little guy goes back at the beginning of February. We have 6 to 8 weeks of end-of-year school holidays between grades. So our school year follows the calendar year instead of finishing and restarting mid year.

Another few inches of snow on top of the 8" that fell the other day...

It's beautiful, but I had to go to work this morning, and can't clear the snow until after I get home tonight (probably in the early morning).

Stay safe out there.

some snow, was really cold for a while, temps were right around 0 with a windchill in the -teens F. It is strange to live in a place that every winter the weather tries to kill you, can't figure out why I stay here....maybe because the fishing is awesome...even at 14 below zero.

we got 8" right after Hurrican Sandy left town in ruins. Not needed. A dusting a couple of weeks ago is all gone. I'm in SoFla until mid February, nothing on the ground here

The Detroit area hit 60 today and the high is expected to be 65 tomorrow. Weather patterns are strange.

Right now I'm sweltering in 42 degree heat (108F) and I'd give just about anything to fall face first into an 8" snow bank.

It's snowing here in VA tonight. Hopefully it will not stick. But then if it does, I'll use that as an excuse to stay home.
