Guitar Surgery (Pic Heavy)

I picked up my Short Drop Top Mongrel earlier this year and from the beginning had a love hate relation with the H2+ because it was a kind of bright for my liking. After much searching and speaking to both friends and forum members I decided what my life needed was the H3. When I got the guitar it was sent to me with two extra pick guards so I figured let me swap that too.

Since everyone said that the guitar's construction can drastically affact the way a pup reacts I decided to try the H2+ in my HDC (THe Mongrel is Basswood with Maple Top, Short, Hardtail, with RW board. HDC is Hollow Alder, Maple Top, Trem, Maple Neck/Board

Fast fwd, I did not like the H2+ in the HDC and just returned it back to it's original bridge pup HO2. I also had a mod done to both guitars that has been months in the making. A mini three was has been added to the Mongrel and the two way mini on the HDC has been changed to a mini three way. Both guitars are now wired with a BLOWER!:eek: In the center position the guitar works as HSS, in the down position it splits the bridge for SSS and in the up position it gives me full bridge humbucker in series direct to the output jack bypassing all controls (Vol, Tone and 5 way) :D

I want to thank Tom for exchanging a ton of emails with me. After many headaches and bumps in the road I am loving the BLOWER!
