Summer NAMM

I've heard summer is not nearly as big. Would it be worth a 2.5 hour drive to Nashville and $15 to go to the public day saturday at NAMM? Thoughts?

I've never been to a NAMM, but if it was only 2.5 hours I think I would take a chance. You are already thinking about it so you should probably just do it, take lots of pictures, and do a good write up, and share it here.

Ages ago (when woolly mammoths roamed the earth) I used to live 2 hours north of Nashville. Seemed like a long way.

I was fortunate to attend the 1998 Summer NAMM show in Nashville. I found the show to be fun and worth every minute there. Now, I cannot compare it to the Anaheim show but, Nashville put on a great show. Plus, the surrounding areas are bustling with activity.

The Nashville Show has been pretty dead the last couple of times I've gone (as recently as 2 years ago). Nashville is a fun town, so what the heck, make a weekend of it.
