Recently I've had the chance to play a DIY pieced together Frankenstrat. They allowed me to bring it home and run through it; from the paintwork and tapes to the decals, the hardware and almost everything is spot on.
It's been years since I've messed with a Floyd, in fact it was a conscious decision to stay away from it since I don't really use it that much in my playing (I know, the irony...). Very fun when I picked up the guitar, definitely running through most of the riffs from VH to 1984. So much so that I've decided to try finishing up Eruption.
Here's my take, I don't think it's easy at all and there are a couple of clams here and there. EVH has been a huge influence and big part of my listening diet when I'd first listened to guitar, this is my tribute to his awesomeness!
