K12 arrived today in time to use it at practice with the HD500. I also run my Keyboard through it. Wow!

Has anyone here used the K12 remote volume control option? Seems like a good way to tweak the stage volume without altering the PA feed.

I use to use the k12 with my axe fx for Almost a year till I went with the rcf series. Great monitor, I use to send out1 to foh out2 to the k12 set it & forget it lol. I loved having my own vol without having to effect the sound guys. Only negative was having the controls behind the monitor. Doing a quick adj would have to be made on the axe fx and not with the speaker itself. Other then that I loved it.

I use one. Lots of guys over at fractal forum use two for a stereo feel. I figured I'm coming out mono in foh I dont need two. Would be nice though lol....

Only negative was having the controls behind the monitor.

That's exactly why I'm thinking of trying out the remote volume control option. It wouldn't be able to control the 2 inputs individually. It looks like a 0-5 Volt VCA setup that could be controlled with an expression pedal. I'd probably just wire up a pot to it and put it in a small box on my keyboard.

I'd like to eventually get two for when I need a small PA setup. I think I can deal K12 for guitar/kybd monitoring though I do offer up stereo to FOH if they are running stereo, and my bands own PA runs stereo.

Sounds like you have it all planned out. I say go for it! Buy at guitar center or somewhere with a money back guarantee. If its not what your looking for sonically return :D
