I was just looking at my Hollow Drop Top, in Deep Bora Bora (04-04-03A), and I noticed how perfect the binding is, along with all the other Anderson guitars.

How do you stain the top without touching the binding??

I've wondered the same thing.Doesn't the stain bleed thru,even if you mask or scrape?

bleed through is an issue. some colors are worse than others. generally speaking, the deeper the figure, the worse it is. we stain the top while the edge is still sharp. we then sand the round over into the binding shape.
