Just joined today after viewing the forums for a few months.

I have picked up 3 new Tom Andersons over the last 5 months and basically getting rid of all my other guitars after playing my first 1.

Part traded a PRS CU22 for a trans amber bulldog from McKenzie River Music in Oregon. Never even seen one these guitars in the flesh/wood before and after trying half the shop picked this up played for 30 mins and walked straight out with it, (after paying of course:cool: ) Amazing guitar and nicknamed it Gary after Gary Moore

Picked up a new cajun red HDT from GC, (I know:o ), but the guitar is surprisingly perfect in condition  and the neck at even taper + 0.10 is sublime. Nicknamed Andy as it is my Andy Timmons vibe guitar

Finally went back to McKenzie River and bought a classic in tri-burst that had been hanging round for a while. (Thank you to everyone that considered it and did not buy it as it is now mine). Nicknamed Eric as I am an Eric Johnson fanboy also.

Pics will follow as soon as Oregon sees some sunshine during out of work hours for me to get good shots

Now that I have my relatively instant fixes I will order a complete custom instead of off the shelf as soon as I can decide on the my specs for a bulldog locker

Welcome Herzomud , congrats on your TAG's !
I have a Bulldog too , mainly because I want so bad to play Gary Moore one to one , regarding tone and sound .
Strange enough, sometime , I think I have a better tone than Gary him self !:D
My humble opinion is that Bulldog is simply perfect piece of guitar building art .
Cheers,
Zoran

I have picked up 3 new Tom Andersons over the last 5 months

You'd better pace yourself, Tom hasn't even gotten the new shop set up yet and you're buying up all the available Andy's out there! :D

Welcome to the forum! You won't meet a nicer, more helpful group of people, and that starts at the top with the "Supreme Commander"

Ha ha......yes I got off to a quick start. However I must admit I had a few PRS guitars to trade to get me started.

The only downside is that these guitars have killed the high level GAS syndrome I have cultivated since moving to the States 5 years ago. Even my wife has commented that I now play more guitar and practice more instead of just looking for the next thing.

I used to pick up my guitars and just spend time looking at them before playing but now I appreciate the build quality by wanting to play more. This is meant as a compliment to Tom and his guitars because they are certainly as beautiful and better built than any other guitars I have owned.

Sounds weird but these guitars have become objects I love where my past guitars were only objects of desire.

Tom's presence on the forum has been the icing on the cake in terms of the whole Anderson guitar experience.

Thanks Zoran. The Bulldog has been a good challenge. I have owned Les Paul's in the past where it has been easy to get the generic Les Paul sound just by plugging in.

The Bulldog versatility has been a pleasant experience of learning more about what frequencies and aspects create a Les Paul style sound and how the Bulldog can be so much more by tweaking parameters.

Like walking into an ice cream shop with 42 flavours instead of the usual 3. (Another pleasant problem I have had to deal with since moving to the States) :D

I take your words as high compliments. If our guitars can make you want to play more then we have achieved our goal. Guitar players need to make music.

[QUOTE=dannopelli]REALLY DIGGING THE DROP TOP!

QUOTE]

The drop top is beautiful and reminds me of the only guitar I sincerley wish I had never traded in.

It was a Schecter custom shop PT Nashville droptop NAAM guitar that Proguitarshop picked up. It was almost Anderson like to the point that I still wonder whether Tom's team actually built it for them having read up on Tom's career. :D

Even the neck binding was hand rolled

I was.....and am......stupid on letting this go. But next year after the the bulldog locker I may ask Tom to re-create this as close as possible but with the Anderson neck joint, ss frets.

Images from Proguitarshop where I bought the Schecter from. (I could never take better shots)

Thems some fine looking guitars. I'm partial to the drop top myself. I'm wondering when we are going to see some bulldog pups with PQs?
