Tom, what is the turn around time to swap a short scale roswe wood/maple to a maple short scale?
normally it's a 3 month cycle. it could be a couple weeks faster depending on where we are in a neck batch, but 3 months is pretty normal. BUT, we are moving the shop in two weeks so all bets are off. we expect to lose only one week but i know that is being optimistic. a couple extra weeks on the replacement is probably safe. we don't need the guitar until after the neck is made and has sat to acclimate for a month, so only the last month of the process.

Moving? You've been in that same location for quite a while, haven't you? Bigger shop? Closer to home? Moving out of California to avoid the taxes?
25 years in this location. moving to bigger space with the ability to have better dust collection, more wood storage and most importantly a nicer place to spend long days. can't wait. scheduled to move in about june 11.

I think Tom and Co should invite all TA owners out for a grand tour and have guitars for door prizes. That would be a lot of fun.
We are still in construction phase but will post some in process pics this week.

About a three hour drive for me - assuming they haven't moved further from InSaneDiego,
Best of luck with the move, Tom. You deserve nice digs!!
Where is the new shop??
I must visit one of these days........
Its just a half mile from where we have been for the past 25 years.
Would love to see picture of the new workshop too! :)

Did you ever get your internet situation figured out?
We could not get fios like we have now but got a T1 line with a pretty fast ping at a tolerable price.

I am surprised that a half mile down the road the lines aren't run. I thought maybe you moved to a newer space than originally planned. I'm still waiting for something better here, best I get is 3Mbits down, it sucks
they have lines across the street. our building is up on a little hill and with only 8 or so tennants they must not feel it's worth running the fiber optic cable. they don't give us any reasons, they just say all they could offer us is 764k so we said no thanks. we only signed a one year deal with the T1, so if verizon changes their mind later we can switch.
