As the title says will there ever be a hollow bulldog? I have an LP custom that I love but it is to heavy and since having back surgery in 2010 it gets pretty much no love. So o was thinking of getting a bulldog now that I have converted to TAG. Thing is I hear the bulldogs are 8lb+ which may still be heavier than I would want. Also will there ever be other neck options. My LP has a maple neck/board and I love it. Lastly can a bulldog be order with no fret markers? I love the locks of it but dots on a single cut away like that just seem wrong for me.

I will pass on the f holes lol
if you're buying a bulldog for the sound they make then a hollow one would disappoint you. the fat middle will be gone. if you you however just love the look and are after a wider more open sound, the hollow would do. i did make one to try it out and it only lasted one night for me. i lost all my fat middle pq loveliness.
if you're really looking to lose some weight, a cobra with a non trem bridge can be very light and still have a big sound.

And in my experience, if it's hollow it'll lose even more weight and sound HUGE when you want it to.

Hmmm a cobra has also been on my watch list. Is a bull dog not worth it if I get a cobra?

I'm not one to answer that, as I've never been a Paul player and people love them for various reasons, but a 2 hum Cobra should be able to do all Paul stuff and I would think more as the split single coils sound awesome too. The weight and balance should be an improvement too...Can't lose in any case..

My wheels are def turning. I have played hollow single cutways by both Gibson and PRS and though these are by no means direct comparisons I dug them. Got to get my hands on a cobra
