Aloha from Hawaii,

I came across these NOS bodies and necks, and being that TAG got out of the parts business in 1995, these must be 1995 or older.

The upload limitation is 100kb, and I used an 8 megapixel camera, which limits what I can upload. I down-res'd these photos so I can share with you all.

What you see is a Candy Red strat (see logo in neck pocket) a flame maple strat neck, and a mahogany neck/rosewood board neck, which is the lightest neck I've ever picked up.

In all, I got 5 necks and 2 bodies. Enjoy.

We stopped selling parts in 1990, so they have to be at least that old. Any idea who painted the body? We weren't painting back then. Pretty odd that mahogany neck. Don't remember making any of those. Could it be koa?

Hi Tom. These were made for Guitar Tech in Hawaii; their name is written in the pickup cavity. Mitch from Guitar Tech said the Candy Red was painted by someone well-known, but couldn't remember the name.

The dark neck could be koa, but the grain is so short and straight, I'm assuming it to be mahogany.

Aloha,
Terry

Aloha from Hawaii

As you can see from the beginning of the thread, I came into owning a number of NOS Anderson necks and bodies that belonged to a friend of mine, Mitch Yanagida of Guitar Tech in Hawaii.

I was able to sell most of it, but am ready to let the last piece go at a great price. It's a tele neck, flame maple headstock and neck, I believe a rosewood fretboard with clay dots. The width is 1 - 3/4.

If I can get $120 plus shipping, it's yours. I cannot post quality pictures here with the 100kb size limitation. Contact me at terryoyama @ yahoo.com and we can take it from there.
