"The Wait" is simultaneously anxious and exciting. But, it's an important aspect of the Anderson experience. Just long enough so you feel a little pain, but not so long that you completely forget you ever placed the order. :)

"The charm of ordering an Anderson is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive, but attainable: a perpetual series of occasions for hope."

How much money does a deposit usually cost?
that is determined by the dealer. it may be affected by how"weird" the guitar is. if the dealer feels like it is a harder to sell(unusual combination of features), he may want a bigger deposit than if it was a very "regular" guitar. it probably all comes down to the dealers confidence in the customers commitment to pay for it when it arrives.
we've seen the dreaded senario of the left handed reverse headstock barbie pink crowdster plus 2 with inlaid butterflies on the back of the body that the customer thought was going to be more manly looking when it arrived so he decided not to take it(when the real reason was that his beemer needed new tires). the dealer does not want that one on his wall.

I saw that one on ebay not too long ago...if the butterflies would have been on the front I would have bid on it. ;)
ebay is funny. often when we get an "unusual" order we joke that we'll probably see that one one ebay in 2 months.
bu... butterly inlay.. ? that sounds horrible haaha, still... i can't wait for mine! will be going of to Japan for business trip over the weekend, will try the anderson there in Ocha no mizu's guitar shop to soothe my current craving i guess!
It's ready!! hopefully can get in within this 2 week! :D

Nice! what are your specs for your first new Anderson?
I am thinking hard about a classic with all maple neck, alder, coffee-dipped vintage pickups, one piece white guard, new red fiesta red paint-the works. Yes, I am copying the one specked out by Carr.
It is a droptop classic, alder back with maple cap and RW fingerboard! Jack have just shipped it 2 days ago, i hope i will get it perfectly! (hope it arrives this coming friday... if not im afraid that's another weekend without the new guitar....)
It looks like this

I used to say that anticipation was everything. That was before I learned that a great guitar is great for a lifetime. Congrats and rock on!

that's exactly problem with TAG's - all of the rest of the guitars becomes " not-so-playable" and "not -so-in tune " .
basically , something gets wrong with non -TAG's , even there is nothing wrong with them ???
Congrats on beautiful masterpiece !
