Pardon the old photo, it's from ~ '83.
This is an old 70's Strat I used to own. I bought it used with a "Schecter drop in pickguard unit". I fell in love with the switcharoo system back them, have it on one of my 'real' TA's today.
I had the Kahler tremolo bar put in. Wish I still had it.

Nice. I'm a fan of the switcheroo also. I guess the early ones did not have a blower switch? I like the Kahler trems also. I know that most prefer Floyds, but I learned on a Kahler. Floyds feel to stiff to me.

back in the schecter days it was just an on-off-on switch for each tapped pickup. after i left there i had a some friends ask if i could make a bypass switch that would go straight to the full humbucker regardless of what the 3 switches were set at. and the blower was born. that was 1984 i believe.

Were you the first to create the blower switch? I have seen other forums talk about it, even calling it a blower switch still, I just thought it was just another mod out there unrelated to Anderson Guitarworks

I had never heard of one before I did it, but its a logical enough idea thst someone else could have done it. We definitey coined the name blower.

I like Switcheroo too! i had it on my first TA DT from 97 and also when i ordered my new DT in 09. And i think its the bypass who is the thing when using it. ex when i roll of the tone and use neck and bridge, and bypass the middle pickup it almost get LP tones.. not all combos of switcheroo is good but i have a couple of sounds that i realy like! dont exactly know the thermes, face in/out and things.. I just use my ears. and i always get comments in live gigs on my good clear guitarsound! :)
The blower is perfect for me who plays a lot of different styles, and often i play both rythm and solo. ex. when you play a stratty rythm sound with singelcoils in clean, and you have a solo with distortion, i just click one click on my footswitch and one click on the blower. simple and easy

Is this the same idea of the blender pots? I have seen some videos of Fenders with the blender pots between the neck and bridge and there is a huge range of tones between the two- seems like a no-brainer, granted I like the simplicity of 2 nobs and less is more.
