Talk to me about body shapes

So I am loving my Mongrel Short Drop Top. It has a basswood body, maple neck RW board and it HSS. I want a classic to go with it and I found a killer drop top classic but it is also basswood but with a maple neck/board and is also HSS. School me on the difference body shapes make on tone? I worry that the tone will not be different enough.

most other factors have a bigger affect. if all else were equal, which they seldom are, the T shape would be a bit bolder on the bottom and top, s would be more mid focused. to me the feel of the shape contributes more to the overall working of the guitar than the shape contributes to the sound. meaning that how the guitar hangs and feels on you will make a bigger difference to how much you enjoy playing the guitar than how different it will sound.
