pup routing under the pick-guard?

I have heard that TAGs have universal routing under their pick-guard. I am just wondering if that is true 100% of the time?

yes since the early 90's. we have changed it over the years to make room for the m series pickups and covered humbuckers.

ours does have islands or i guess more accurately peninsulas between the three pickups. swimming pool usually means one big open space.
