The "Pup" looks amazing! Anytime I see a guitar like that it makes me think of Rick Richards of the Georgia Satelites tearing one up!
Diggin the "Tom Jr."

the pup looks awesome but I have to say the black pickguard over the quilty blue drop = major drool. Can't wait to see more and all the specs. No love for the Crowdster in the vid though...

What crowdster?
exactly :)
Ha Ha, Sorry Tom, I reread what I wrote, I didn't mean there was an ugly or bad Crowdy, I was just saying there was 'no love' because there wasn't a Crowdster in the video... made me sad just a little. Sorry for the confusion!
that was done by our japanese distributor, note the food shots. they were at the shop the day we were packing up. there is a crowdy player at the show that they did not get a shot of.

I think you need a "Tom's" to cure your GAS, not a Tums... ;-)

Tom, I am working on it now. I WISH I'd recorded every second he spent playing. As it is I got a couple minute snippet and a quick lesson (THANK YOU WILL!).
I am moving them off my iPhone now and will have them up shortly.
Great meeting you, Tom!
Bob
Great video. I've got a great deal of respect for Tom as he really makes sure that everything is top-notch by personally testing each guitar. Is that red Mongrel a shorty btw? Looks like it.

Here you go. As I said, I WISH I'd recorded the entire time Will was playing. My jaw hitting the floor finally woke me up and I managed to get some of his playing - including his answering my questions about playing pedal steel stuff on a standard-tuned six string guitar...

That's crazy!!! How does he do that???
it was a delight to watch him play. he probably played for 15 minutes. smooth as silk. watching those 3 string bends was ridiculous.

that loud thud you heard on the west coast.... it was my jaw hitting the floor in Alabama! And it's not just because he was wearing a kilt. Bending triads? Seriously? Don't think I'll be trying that on the Crowdy anytime soon.

He played so fluidly and naturally, it was like hearing a steel master on a perfectly tuned pedal steel guitar. I was watching in disbelief. I've never seen another player do that.
Bob
Great playing!! And, you can't beat an Anderson when you need to perform such fretboard gymnastics.
BTW, I always like my tone when I play wearing a kilt. Gives one's tone an airy-ness........

In November I went to a guitar show in Toronto and Amos Garrett ("Midnight at the Oasis"/Maria Muldaur) was doing a clinic on multiple-string bending like the stuff Will is doing. Amos mentioned he'd once spent a couple of years trying to learn to play an in-tune chromatic scale on a pedal steel and finally gave up in favor of learning how to do it on a six-string.
I am so in awe of these guys...
