can someone explain this (pickup question)

Sorry for the stupid question but I Just checked out a couple of hss drop tops on the mesa boogie store website and noticed some that had H2+, SF2 and SF2r pickups. However the pickup switching option has five way, bridge split and pull for bridge. My question is why would there need to be a SF2r neck pickup if the only pickup that can be split is the humbucker? Sorry again for the dumb question!

we actually split the middle one when it's in combination with the split humbucker. the R is there just in case it ever needs to be split.
