So, Wasnt sure but I experimented by taking Anderson pickups; HC1 for the neck, and a TF3 for the bridge, push/pull in the tone knob to create this monster. Very warm and full with the solid ash body. This has been a really fun project. Also a nitro body. Anderson pickups are so cool. Actually replaced lollars with the Andys.

Totally agree!

I've been wanting a "fat" tele to compliment my Roadworn Tele which is routed for single coils.

I have an Anderson Hollow T with exact same pickups. It has a swamp ash top w. an alder back. Two completely different sounding guitars. I've talked with Roy about woods and he can poetically recite what each woods character is.....but until I actually had a side by side comparison.....well my ears had to hear it. it's dramatic. the hollow T has more dig in and bight. A little more on the bright side, and this one has more thickness.... More of a rock and blues machine. Although its A TF3.....So it's not ur typical country-fied tele bridge pickup. one the reasons I dig it.
i used to play on a original 53 tele. I couldn't ever let it out of my site for obvious reasons...... so this became its "stunt double".

I had a Hollow T awhile ago, which I loved, but needed to part with for another major gear purchase. One of the few that I wish I had back.

Anyway, what you just explained I've experienced also...well, except for putting a TA pickup in mine. So far, the Tex-Mex pickups are doing well for me.

Man, do I love the look of yours also! Butterscotch is probably my favorite color on teles. The aging looks nicely done also.
