no way they will share , and I will do the same thing :D
but ,if it is about first TA 24 frets guitar , and on that manner the final supremacy of TA guitars in guitar History , I will send one of my friends living in USA , to buy it , stole it , whatever it on the NAMM gate , before Tom and gang even get in .
Than you have to ask me about sharing ,what I will do with pleasure :D

( Ok,ok , you cannot stop me dreaming , can't you ? )

Looks like the Fender booth this year is a tribute to Anderson and Suhr.....they've gone all flametop...bent top.....both the Custom Shop guitars and the new US Select series! Whatever next?:) :)

Fender has some cool stuff this year including a long scale 27 inch blacktop tele baritone, several stangs and jazzes, and most importantly a couple of small retro tube amps~ one with a 15 inch speaker at 13 watts in a /should be fun to see.............

So I picture the week leading up to NAMM being like an episode of Overhauling... working 24 hours, getting the last coats of finish on in the middle of the night, putting strings/knobs on in the back of the van on the way to the show, trying to get everything done by d-day. Am I close? :D

That's how it used to be, but its hard to live like that. Our planning is better now but I was at work all weekend this year. Gotta play all the guitars today and load up the car tomorrow to head down there. Having It be local is a huge benefit for us. Weve got It down to the whole booth fitting into my Honda element.

even the couch?

tom

we rent the couch and carpet so we don't have to haul them. our goal is always to be on our way home in less than an hour after the show closes.

Don't you pretty much HAVE to rent the furniture at the trade shows? I think it's a union thing...

tom
01-18-2012, 09:48 AM
No, you can bring in anything you want. But you will have to pay union people to set it up though.

No, you can bring in anything you want. But you will have to pay union people to set it up though.

I've helped a few companies (not MI companies) with trade show graphics and media... having the union people take care of moving all that crap is, in my experience, a good thing!

Renting the furniture is even smarter. Pack up your stuff and GO!

Hope you have fun. Hope we see the pics VERY EARLY!

I'm crazy about the look of that single PQ pup. Is there a possibility of a Bigsby B5/B50 on one of those? Or would it lose the "Junior Magic" of the wrap around bridge?
