Rand/Anderson Prototype

Hi All. I'm moving soon and loading off all of my equipment. This was one of my favorites - figured I would post it here in case anyone is interested in something different. It is a very rare Rand guitar prototype made from Tom Anderson parts back in 1986 and before Rand Havener created the 27 fret superstrat he is known for. All USA made.

This is not a case queen. It has its share of dings and bruises, but it plays very well and has a very unique tone to it. Here are the specs:

-Original 80s OFR with custom made 316 stainless steel big block. It is blocked for dive bomb only.
-alder or poplar body (Rand Havener couldn't remember), but it feels like alder to me. Could be basswood as well. I'm not sure.
-Western flame maple fretboard.
-Birdseye maple neck.
-Unpotted original 1977 Dimarzio super distortion - Hand wound.

It is 100% original besides the SS big block, and I will send the original block with.

The pot is scratchy (original) and will need replacement if you plan to gig.

Frets are decent and have life in them - smooth to play. I have 9-42 on them right now. Comes with custom made 304 stainless tremolo.
