Is that possible to achieve ?
Not to stirring a pot , but some other companies have such a neck , which retains almost the same color as original maple after heating process , just slightly darker .

I agree, the chocolate neck is too dark IMOP... an aged maple look would be nicer-

I have tried some of the lighter roasted maple. It's still brown, not the color maple turns with age. I like the chocolate because it is different looking but still sounds like maple. The roasted stuff to me just looks like a tint done the wrong color. I have asked about even less color, more like what an old neck looks like, but so far they are not interested in doing it.

From my experience, there are varying degrees of "chocolate". Here are my TAGs with the chocolate maple neck. It is definitely darker on the Drop Top. The darker matches well with the Burnished Orange. The lighter version looks great next to the Sage Green Metallic.

I think the chocolate maple color looks great the way it is right now, but it really depends on the look of the entire guitar...
I saw a Trans Red Pro Am 7 with a chocolate maple neck and black hardware some time ago. Without having seen the actual guitar, I wouldn't have thought that it would look all that great, but it was beautiful. And Chad's Drop Top looks stunning as well.
I can't wait to get my first chocolate maple neck-ed guitar soon!!! It's going to be a slightly different beast though! :D :D :D

Here is the best I have for now. I'll try and take some more pictures this week. Any specific questions?

Does that have a rosewood fretboard or is the maple that dark? It looks awesome...

that's what I am talking about , looks stunning .
the exactly what I am looking for is the color on the headstock , around letter A , check it out !

so , is it possible to make all neck in such a nuance ?

if yes, this is a neck color specs for my next TAG .

that one looks like the lightest chocolate we've seen, milk chocolate. still darker than the "roasted maple" others are using. i think that photo is also lit pretty well so it shows it as light as it could look. the gloss finish on the headstocks also makes them show the grain better and get a little nicer color.

Tom is spot on with the bolded part above. To be honest when I opened the case to my Classic I was a little surprised. My Drop Top's neck has such a dark color. At first I thought to myself that maybe a mistake was made. I was expecting the darker color. After looking and playing with it I realized that the lighter color fit the Sage Green really well. I am glad it ended up a milk chocolate. As you can see from my pictures above it looks awesome! You really can see the grain well. The darker chocolate color looks great with the Burnished Orange Burst.
