Yes I've read the description on the website but just wondering how a user might describe their tone?
Thanks!

They sound like big Strat PUPS with no hum. That said, they have a hair less bite and are a bit smoother. So they are Strat-like I guess.
I have them in two guitars, a Hollow Cobra S M1M1M3 and a Drop Top Classic M1M1M2. And they will do ducks.
I wish Tom made them with covers...

I had m pickups on a hollow cobra s and i found them to be a cross between a humbucker and a single coil, not as thick as a humbucker and definitely more bite than a regular humbucker. I've read that some people find them bright, but i did not find that to be the case at all.

The very similar pickup in the neck position of my Crowdster Plus almost sounds "Gretsch-ey".

I have M1(neck) TM2 in my Short T
The sound as others have said is not as toppy as a single coil but very usable
I love all 5 pickup positions and they cover a very broad range of sounds
It definately will remain part of my sound armamentarium

Every ear really hears something a bit different. Thats why people actually get their hearing checked ;) Depending on their "position" brings out different characteristics. I agree with the other prev post. My DopTop has them in the neck and middle w. a H2+ in the bridge. Think of a strat singles' on steroids. Chimmey less, but fuller w.more bite. More like a Seymour Duncan cool rails. But Anderson better. Out of all the pickups (imho of course) they are the most versatile when looking for an all around, do everything pickup. Especially when you have the seemingly unlimited configurations w. the 5 Way, Splitter, VA Booster, Pull Adds Bridge ...... etc.
They dont replicate the Strat sound.... but are a cousin to: My classic has the VA5 VA5R VA5+ which are my favorite Strat like pickups that nothing can replace. Had a recent friend compare his Strat to my Classic: He sold it. Last week
Heres some M1 samples:

Find an Anderson dealer and play em....the joy is in the journey!

Tell you what Tom, based upon all the videos, you sure do sell a lot of guitars in Japan!
We ship about 5 per month to Japan. They tend to be limited model wise. Korea is much more adventurous.
