PQ owners chime in...

To all owners of TAG's with PQ's in them,

I'm considering getting some PQ pickups and am wondering what I can expect out of them? I'm usually not a fan of noiseless pickups because they seem to lack the same chime and "aliveness" of true singlecoils, but am considering them because P90's produce soooo much hum when playing with hard rock amounts of gain. Do they have the same raunchy sound as P90's?

I was always weary of P90s too but Tom let me borrow a Cobra with them loaded in and let me tell you they are every bit as vintage sounding but without the hum. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to push it really hard and not hear anything except a great P90 tone. The lows are rich and warm and sound great clean, very creamy a little more punchier mids if I remember and when pushed I think the pickups really shine.

I've said this before on the forums but I had ordered my Shorty the day I borrowed the Cobra and I mean it when I say Tom almost didn't get that guitar back, I love my Shorty but part of me thinks I would've loved that one more.
