...seems to do not work properly in the neck position .
Neck pick up is fairly lower in sound/power when it works .
Also , middle position tends to have noise and growl , sounds like broken cable issue , but it isn't .
There was a similar thread but cannot find it .
Any thoughts ?

we had a batch of those switches that made intermittent connection, had one on my own guitar. turned out to be some kind of debris or coating on the contacts. spraying with dioxit made it go away and never came back.
when you say it's noisy, it could also be a pickup problem. does it sound like it is split? if a coil failed, it would do that.

ok , I will try to find deoxit .
where to apply the spray ? to remove the cover from the back and apply it there ?

And yes , pick up sounds like it is only single coil .

It seems I must go to Grant from TOM's and check it out ...

How to find out exactly is the one coil failed ?

Thanks
Zoran

For the spray, remove round cover plate. Spray on to contact area and flip the switch for a few seconds.
You can read the coils of the pickup from the back of the tone pot connections. Put the toggle in the osition opposite of the pickup you are checking. Read from red to green, and from black to white. They should be about the same. a dead coil will read open, no reading at all. let me know what you find.

Thanks Tom ,
Funny enough , I check it out today , and except small "kckrrrh" when switched on , everything went well , neck pick up is in order , splitting/sounding normally .
So it must be that contact issue , but will check with Grant anyway .
I need some smart contact spray which I can find here .

WD 40 is not the choice , I suppose ?

no no no no no, never wd40. contact cleaners are ok, doxit d5 is the (your favorite car name here) of contact cleaners.

Hey Zoran
This thread is probably finished now but I had a very similar problem with my bulldog
I would connect a cable and the rhythm position would be dead, I would toggle the switch up and down and it would start to work (took a few goes of up/down toggling) and then after that it would be fine again
If I unplugged the cord and then plugged it back in again the same thing would happen
Luthier friend of mine has fixed it--hoping he used the right stuff and not wd40!
Tom where can I get some deoxit from in Australia?
Thanks
Steve

Here, electronics stores and Sam ash music stores sell it.
Try googling it.

For all of the South African readers, that would be you Zoran, I have a can of something called "Servisol Super 10 switch cleaning lubricant" that I picked up at a local electronics store here in Pretoria.
It seems to do the business on my switches and it comes with the small pipe that fits into the nozzle to let you get into "fiddly" places.
We will give it a go on the switch next time I see Zoran.
