I am looking at a new Anderson guitar that was setup for .009-.042 strings from the Anderson Universe Headquarters. I'd prefer to use .010-.046 Elixir Strings on it. Will I have to reintonate the guitar or should it be OK?

Nevermind. Digging a little deeper, I found what I needed to know here:

I don't think you will need to reintonate , but you might adjust the neck a bit to your preference .
I used to play 9-46 and 10-46 on my two TAGs , but I stick to 10's now .

That info is 15 years old. The Boss TU-12 tuner is NOT an accurate tuner by todays standards.
My opinion: Do you "NEED" to re-set up after a string gauge change? No. Would I re-set up after a string gauge change? Abso-$$$$-ing-lutely! Using the best tuner on the market (Turbo Tuner), you will find huge differences in intonation with string gauge changes. Your Anderson is a high performance machine that deserves to be tuned up accordingly because that's how it was built.
