I went from a H2+ in my cobra to a H3 in the bridge. The thing is, I love the sound of the split bridge on the H3 but don't like the full humbucker sound of the H3 on cleaner stuff (to much midrange honk). I like the full hum sound of the H2+ better but, How much will I lose with the split sound of the H2+ vs H3. Just wanted to hear from you guys before I start soldering. Thanks for any info

i'd first try lowering the h3 some. it can go a ways down before it gets too weak.

thanks Tom, I just checked the height and I'm at two 64ths bass side and one 64th treble side (string fretted at the last fret) That's way to close IMHO. (I blame my 15 year old daughter on this LOL she can't keep her hands of my cobra. I'll give it a shot because the split sound is killer. Thanks for the help

that is very close. you've got lots of room to try lowering it.

fyi, my experience with my two Andersons (and even my friend's new T Classic) is that you can lower those pickups a LOT and get what I think is a great sound.
