Just putting the feelers out there...looking to possibly sell my beloved Crowdster in Bora Bora Blue to trans burst with binding with a quilt top. This guitar was guitar of the week...check out the photos here:

http://www.andersonguitars.com/cfPages/displayGOW.cfm?theDate=12/06/04&status=archive

...and yes, that's me and my wife in the picture...7 years ago! It'll be hard letting this one go :) ...the guitar, not the wife...

Let's go with $1800 shipped/pp for now

It does show some wear which is shown in the pics (http://s181.photobucket.com/albums/x233/devanbumstead/Crowdster/).

Let me know if you're interested and we'll chat. I just need a Taylor instead--since this is my only acoustic I need something I can record with and play live with and the Crowdster only does the live thing...but oh so well! ;)

Hey CWP ;)

I've actually got some cash I'm gonna probably add to scale up. I'd like a 7 or 8 series and I NEED the ES system (and preferably a sunburst). But thanks for the offer bro!!

Mine has the Expression System... Ken's didn't. I completely understand. I drooled over an 810 for a long time, I love my McPherson but if I ever get another dreadnought I'd want an 810

If you would consider something other than a Taylor, I have a Larrivee D03 with a barndoor Fishman preamp as well as a Composite Acoustics Legacy dread with a Fishman and soundhole controls....

Chris, for some reason I just never bonded with the 414. Though a friend here just bought a 2011 414 spring limited that sounds killer. It had walnut back/sides and a hard rock maple neck capped with ebony...sweet. But other than that I prefer the 7 or 8.

And I'm sticking with just Taylors for now even though I'm sure Larrivees are great, I just dont have enough experience with them.

I'm right there with you on the 414, I wouldn't get another one if I had the choice

the guy i play with has an old 414 with the fishman and it really does sound good. he goes back and forth with that and the crowdster and both sound great. he has a really great touch which i think is key with any piezo.

Agreed Tom. Touch is huge with any piezo (and a lot of guys can't seem to get it). And so sorry I have to let this one go...kinda wish I was rich so I could just buy without selling :( I'm gonna miss it a LOT.

I like the sound of mine... just not the feel. I agree it can sound pretty awesome

As chriswhite said, that top is beautiful!!! I remember that GOTW (hilarious write-up by Roy), the top and especially the color.

Just ordered a DTC in this same finish last week... your photo just made me even happier that I did! :)

Wish I had the funds for this one too!!! Nice axe. :)

Hi, Devan. I noticed your Crowdster has some (just a little) fret wear... those are stainless steel frets, right? (If so, you got some really strong hands!)

I may be wrong but I don't think Taylor is offering SS frets. Are you worried that you'll go through standard frets in a month or so?

I know Dev doesn't hang around here very often but I'll shoot him an email to get him over here but I can tell you that, yes, they are SS and no, there is no fret wear. Devan used to play his Crowdster a lot more when he first got it but mostly has only used it for recording the last few years. He rarely plays it live.

I dont wanna speak for the man but I know hes not on here very often.

Hi, Chris. Thanks for the heads up. My observation about fret wear was based on this picture:

http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x233/devanbumstead/Crowdster/IMG_1970.jpg

No big deal, really. I'm in the process of re-fretting a 1994-vintage Taylor that has fret-wear I've not seen on an acoustic. The ebony fretboard is seriously gouged as well. Just wanted to make sure Dev doesn't wind up with a fretless guitar!

Hi Devan!
Is there something new with your Bora Bora Crowdster?
Still trade?
