Hi everybody. I finally got my hands on a used Drop Top Classic a little over a month ago, and it's completely taken over as my #1 guitar. It has ruined/spoiled me so much that I hate playing anything else now. I've never had a guitar that feels so comfortable in my hands, and it has the tone that I've been trying to get since I first started playing guitar.
Now it looks like I'm going to be having a second Drop Top built. I officially have the bug I guess! There are photos of my DTC on my band's website.
Anyway, hello to everybody.

Welcome Natalie! Awesome website and playing. TAGs definitely become addictive. After my 1st one fell in my lap 2 1/2 yrs ago, I now own three. I've unloaded my other electrics. Lots of good info on this forum, enjoy!!!

Welcome aboard Natalie! That seems to be a recurring theme here - innocently starting off with just one, playing it for a while, then switching back to your old favorites. All of a sudden your favorites are now the new ones and the others get used for backups.
Until you get a second and/or third T/A, then the old ones sometimes get kicked to the curb. :)
BTW, here's my newer (to me) Hollow T a couple of weeks ago at a local Yacht Club. La-tee-da. Just a tone-monster beast!

Thanks guys!!! I really appreciate the warm welcome and kind words. And yeah, I can totally see myself with a half dozen or so of these guitars... and with the exception of a strat with sentimental value, I've already started selling all of my other ones. I just don't see a need to play anything else now... I've found my holy grail! I'm sure that two will quickly turn into three... And so on... I'm already an addict. Haha!

Hi BoraBoraNat
I am a relatively new addition to the extended Anderson family and find this forum fantastic and very helpful ( so helpful that I now have 3 Tags!)
My first tag was a deep bora burst hollow drop top -- aren't they great!
Great playing on the vid-- heartbreaker note for note-awesome
I remember reading somewhere that EVH, after hearing that solo, started the whole two hand tapping, pull off thing-- it all started there!
Welcome

Welcome Natalie! Love me some blue guitars!! I've had my arctic blue burst Crowdster+ for not quite a year now and I can't imagine playing anything else for what I do. Well, I might could find a use for a bulldog if I had to...or maybe a Short T.... Seriously, I think Tom puts crack in these guitars because they do seem so addictive!!

Welcome and congratulations on your first TAG. Same situation, I bought my first custom order in May 2010. I am now about to receive my third custom order next month. Loved your clips. You can really tear it up.

Thanks guys. I'm glad to have found some kindred spirits on here, and everybody seems so nice! Awesome. Someone took a few videos at our gig last night, so I finally have some footage with my Drop Top. Woo hoo. I hope to post them on our website later today. That guitar has sooooo much tone it's ridiculous. I'm a happy camper. It seems to love my Rocker 30 amp too. :)

Nice work.
Tom's guitars are a game changer. They definitely spoil
you for anything else. I have a few others I like a lot
and use on occasion, but my hollow drop top is the best
and has been my go-to guitar for several years. There's
just somethging about the feel and vibe of the TA's
(but you already know that :-)
Welcome,
pneil

Thanks pneil! I appreciate it. And I totally agree with you on the Anderson thing. :)
