VA boost on SSH HDT

Just reading another older thread about VA boost

I have a HDT with ssH config, 5 way add bridge

I just assumed it was on or not even though a three way

is it correct that in fact there are three choices ie
up guitar acts like a 3 single coil guitar
middle it acts like an SSH guitar
down it boosts all sounds.

that is how the 3 way mini switch works.
