Hi everybody
I have got the same issue than another forum member. I recover his thread and Tom's answer.
Learnedhand
"I was in the process of changing strings. I must have overshot the number of turns on one of the gotoh locking tuners. Now I cannot get that tuner to catch the string in order to tighten the string. What happens now is the "top" portion of the tuner unthreads off and the post is exposed. Does anyone have any information where I can find some directions on how this things are put together so that I can begin troubleshooting how to get the tuner working properly?"
Tom:
" if the cap is turned off, just spin it back on by hand, turning clockwise if it's a right handed tuner, ccw if it's a lefty. if you're turning by hand it can feel like an eternity till it catches. those are 16:1 tuners so it takes 16 button turns to make one shaft turn. i winder makes it way easier."
Ok, It's allright, but if you turning clockwise 16 the cap, the tuner heigh is smaller and string angle between nut and tuner is bigger. If you tunning clockwise 4 and winder (with shaft I think it's called), then string heigh is higher and the string angle between nut and tuner is less. (I hope you understand me, my english it's not perfect)
What is the correct way?, is there any difference in tension string?
Thanks in advance
Javier
