Up for sale is my first "real" electric guitar. An Electra "Les Paul" Model 2245 (aka Love Rock) guitar with several mods/upgrades.

This is one of the so called "lawsuit" models. It has the Gibson style headstock, not the "wave" headstock that came out later that year.

I purchased this guitar with HSC new in July of 1974 from a local shop. I've spent too many hours to count playing this guitar. It has been gigged and then some. It has always been played with love. Never abused or mistreated! So, it is a genuine relic.

Mods/upgrades are:

- Grover Locking Rotomatic tuners
- GraphTech nut
- refret (no visible wear on the frets)
- Seymour Duncan '59 neck and JB bridge pickups
- all electronics changed out (CTS pots, Orange Drop caps, cloth wire, toggle switch, output jack)
- treble bleed (cap/resistor) on each volume pot
- GraphTech/Tonepros Superbridge w/ String Saver Saddles
- newer style top hat knobs

Things you might need to know: There are a few small size dings. Some all the way to the wood. Plenty of belt buckle rash on the back, but finish is still in place. I had it re-fretted locally a few years back. The tech did a nice job, but there are (3) areas on the treble side of the neck where there is some chip out of the clear coat. It doesn't slow me down when playing it. I consider it cosmetic, but you decide. The case will do fine for shipping, but you might want to invest in a better one or a bag.

I know these are somewhat collectible, particularly with stock parts. I do have little sentimental/emotional attachment. But, I'm now ready to let it go to someone who can make use of it. Having said that, I am trying to put a fair price on it.

$450 shipped/insured/Paypal in CONUS only.

I will consider trades for a Tele or "T" style guitar under 7.5 lbs. If you have something else of interest, let me know.

I'll post (1) pic here below and you can click these links for the rest:

Dude...

Do not sell your first "real" guitar.

Do not do it...

Just put it back in the case and delete this ad...

Hmm...well, I have been thinking about getting one of these...and a pair of white gloves.

And...it must go on the most prominent wall in the great room, with proper lighting, humidity control and security. Tours only during daylight hours. No flash pictures please.

No matter how much my wife doth protest! :p
