Got my DT7 setup for drop A with an Elixir 0.068 on the bottom. I was pretty scared to try such a big gauge. I'm glad I did. It is PERFECT for drop A tuning! Plays like a dream now. My tech gave it back to me and said "She's all ready. I hope you make no mods anymore or change the pickups because this thing sounds phenomenal! I wouldn't change anything. It's fantastic!"

H3-H1 pickups score another victory :) I do think it's my best sounding guitar, even better than all my 6 strings! Thanks again Tom & crew.

cool! i'd be curious how you tune and intonate it.

I just tune it standard without the Buzz offsets and it sounds great. Tuning on the low A is MUCH more consistent on this gauge. My tech said he used the Buzz Feiten offsets to intonate it. Wonder what those would be on that string though? Whatever it is it sounds fantastic :) It's a little bit high tension for standard B but excellent for A.

Cool!!! Too bad a 7 Floyd won't accept a .068. :( But I'll have a solution for that soon enough! :D
Anyway, I guess the one remaining - and of course most important - question is:

When can we hear it, Cody??? :)
