I know! I know!
2 Tags should be enough-but Im just entertaining the remote possibility of another TAG
I have a bulldog with PQs and a HDT with sf2/H2+ (Quilt maple on Alder)
Id love a short scale T or S guitar
Never owned a Tele and LOVE the sound of the HDT to the point Id probably lean toward a short scale S.

Can anybody offer any insights on a third guitar with slightly different specs to complement the other two?
Whats the difference in tone with hollow vs solid, classic (pickguard) Vs no Pickguard? Would th solid sound as alive as my HDT?
I love the VA boost (on both, and Add bridge on HDT)
options
1-Short T with m1/m2 or tm2 with kickback/VA boost
2-Short S sc1 sc1 h2+ or HC2 Va and add bridge
Id really appreciate any advice

and Tom if you read this--is it possible to get the gold flecks of the sheer gold on any other base colour?---like say the white of recent GOTW or black (like the JPS formula 1 car?)--I know you did a sheer plum which looked awesome.
Are you still filling orders for this year?
Just considering it!!

three is not too much and dont let anyone tell you otherwise. I have been a humbucker guy all my life. Singles were just never my thing. That being said my latest and my go-to is now my hollow shory with an M1 in the neck and an TM2 in the bridge. I dont think I've even come close to reaching this guitars full potential. Its tonal range seems endless. If a T style guitar is what you're after than you cant go wrong with this.

here is my third; my hollow shorty

You're normal. The Anderson Tele with the double humbuckers will be my next guitar.

i'd have to agree with chris that the double M loaded shorty is very high on the must have list. whatever might be my number one this week, the shorty would always be the other guitar i'd take with me. it totally blurs the line between single coils and humbuckers.

I've got a Bulldog w/ PQs, my new short DT (mahog body/rosewood neck, HF1+/HF3+) and my first TAG was a Hollow T classic with M1/TM3 (long scale). There weren't any short T's yet, but I LOVE the Tclassic and M pickups. It really is a swiss army knife guitar. If I was going to order the Tclassic today it would have been short scale.

You've got the PQ sound covered, the bridge HB covered, the stratty single coil covered. Seems like you're only missing the M type pickups!!

It's very normal to want another one, I sure do and am always looking for something different than I have. In fact, I would have already bought one of the 7 strings from Guitar Asylum if any of them had a rosewood fretboard (didn't have $ when orders were taken).:D :D :D

Short T sounds like it would complement your stuff well.

Just have to sell some gear to fund it
Thanks Gdane,Chriswhite,Theatomicjeff,Tom and everyone else who chimed in for help--
Its pretty wierd-I have never met any of you but the advice you have all given has helped me choose an instrument that I havent even played!!!

You will not be disappointed! I haven't played a note on another guitar since I took delivery of my short mongrel. It is simply the best guitar I've ever played...

True story here: My most recent acquisition is an AWESOME Heritage Les Paul. I'm totally lovin' it, heavy weight, bigsby and all...) I have been playing nothing but for a little over two weeks or so. (NO offense, Tom... sometimes I's got's to have me the set neck...)

But this morning I played at church (I am currently between church gigs, so this was a very welcome thing). It was all acoustic (no drums or bass) so I brought, of course, the Crowdster Plus 2... and a little ways through sound-check... I remembered why I always say that if I was stuck with only this guitar... I wouldn't be content... I'd be ECSTATIC...

Thanks again, Tom! I call it the Hammster... cause I think it was made for me, not that tall goofy-looking dude who signed the back of it for me.
