Sounds absolutely perfect.

Take off those girly strings and put on a set of 10's and let it resonate properly :D

Which do you like better, your HDT or the Bulldog?

Hi Oddguitar
I'll try to answer your question
I know you been eyeing off the bulldogs recently
There is a short answer and a longer answer
Short answer
I love them both equally
Long answer
When you have 2 guitars of such fine workmanship
I find the differences a bonus for each guitar-- rather than " I wish it didn't have thus" it is " I love how this guitar sounds with .... But I too love how this guitar...."
The bulldog-- very much like a lp but so much better
Looks-love the sheer gold( prob doesn't help you much)
The dot fret markers don't bother me-- though do love the lookof lp necks!
Beautiful feel in your hands
The sound-- I went the va boost ( strongly recommend) and this guitar had 16 separate sounds-- makesme think the lp is a bit limited
Don't get me wrong the lp sound is great for rock but the bulldog has those covered plus way way more
Prefer the TAG neck -- though slim taper gibsons are a close second
The HDT
The look-- great deep bora burst quilt maple
The feel different but just as great
I tried to have subtle differences in choice of nut space , frets intentionally
Prob prefer shorter nut width (bulldog) and heavy vs low rise no big diff ( prob prefer low rise--bulldog)
The sound ---OMG
When I finally got a chance to plug it in to my electradyne time stopped for a minute!!!
I love my Ed for a sonic quality I find hard to explain
A mid to high end responsiveness that adds some sort of zing without it just being toppy or trebly-- other Ed owners hopefully know what I mean
Plug in the HDT and it was like they were made for each other
That sound I love was further accentuated they were complimenting each other perfectly-- I found myself changing pickup positions say "oh yeah" and the changing to the next the smile on my face just getting bigger and bigger
It was quite a memorable moment
So there you have it both guitars are awesome
I love them both and would part with neither
I do love shorter scale necks and so my GAS is not quite satiated yet
Hmm short scale tele or strat classic with m1/m1/m3
Better start selling some gear!!!
Hope this helps
Steve

Thanks oakridge...I appreciate all the info. I'm on the fence about which TAG to get. I'm generally a super-strat type of guy, but since I have several examples of those already, I figured I might like the beefier, ballsier LP sound, but with the much better playability and comfort of the Bulldog. The other TAG I'm considering would be a drop t shorty or cobra....decisions decisions... :D
