Hi,

I'd like to add a blower switch to my Drop Top.
Is the Anderson blower switch a lever switch or a push button?
Can I order one from any Anderson dealer or do I have to contact Tom directly (or here?).

Thanks,

Jim

how you will integrate it and where you'll put it are the real questions. if the switch you have is a master splitter, you might just want to convert to a B5 wiring which would make the 5 way always go to full humbucker when you hit the bridge position, regardless of the mini switch position.

I was just planning on replacing the mini switch with the blower.
I never use it anyway- I just keep everything in full humbucking mode.

Also going to Guthrie wiring with a mega 5 way- I never use the middle pickup by itself and could do with having the neck and (split) bridge in parallel for pseudo tele tones.

if you do that, then position 5 would be just like a blower. isn't that easier to hit than a mini switch?

Maybe if you leave the volume and tone in line but the way I want to do it is to have the blower go the bridge bucker with no vol or tone.

Just full bridge bucker.
This allows me to have, say, the neck pickup selected with volume and tone roll off.
I can hit the blower and go to a solo then go back to the same setting after the solo by flicking the blower off.

then you can turn your splitter into a bypass everything switch. it will need to be a 3 pole switch if you have any splitting options elsewhere for the bridge pickup. 2 pole if it is never split.

Ok thanks, will look into it.
